SEPTEMBER was a crazy, busy month for Scott and I.
If you ever wonder why I go to the gym so much, it is because of stuff like this...I go to AquaZumba 3X a week. We have a fun class and sometimes Mrs Senior Utah is in it...ha ha! She wanted a photo of her in class. What is great about this class is I get to dance but no one can really see me because it is under water!
We enjoy having McKenna and Braden sitting with us at games now. Braden was actually working this game in the press box, but we have fun without him too!
Scott looks sort of creepy here, but he is supposed to. Now that we are in the YSA, we have all sorts of crazy FHE activities on Monday nights including monthly NERF GUN WARS IN THE DARK! They are hard core serious about this in our ward!
This is inside the OLD Olmstead Power Plant. They would not allow me to photograph the new plant, but it is a beautiful facility.
I got to attend the tour and dedication because of my position on the Energy Board for Provo.

Evan has taken his passion for airplanes and transferred it to DINOSAURS!!!
Does this remind us of someone we know and love?
Well, YES! It is so much like Austin that it is funny!
So, we brought Austin's old dinosaur costume for Evan to wear for Halloween, or any time he wants!
You will notice the umbrella is a FROZEN THEME umbrella.
This is Mackenzie's passion right now!

Austin surprised Laura with an overnight at a really cute bed and breakfast while we were there so we got to play parents for a night and morning! Yes, this meant that Scott slept on the floor with Evan :)
And then a package arrived that I had ordered only the night before

Mackenzie was ADORABLE and SO HAPPY!!
One day during school, we took Evan and Mackenzie up to Seattle to visit a museum near the Space Needle.
We love our Thanksgiving Point passes and that they let us into so many venues around the country! We went to the Pacific Science Center for free and took the kids for free too.
One of the reasons we came here was for the DINOSAUR ROOM!
Part of the museum was a BUTTERFLY ROOM that was so beautiful! Scott got a lot of beautiful photos!
This is one of my favorites though because Mackenzie was so scared when the butterfly landed on her shoulder!
But she got over it!

It was an older museum, but had enough interesting things that it was a fun afternoon!
The outdoor water area was very fun...we could shoot at objects to make them turn.
And Grandpa found a neat water ball that Evan helped him turn.
Evan was very happy that they had model dinosaurs out in the water too!

I got to go to Brooklyn's dance class too!

This class was tap and jazz. I was there for the jazz part.

The next day we got to meet for lunch at Brooklyn's school too! We took our own peanut butter sandwiches to join her!

Then, on Friday night, we celebrated Brooklyn's BIRTHDAY by every kids's dream come true...
CHUCK-E-CHEESE!!!
Games all over the place and pizza and a giant mouse who comes out to sing Happy Birthday...what could be better??
The kids were in SENSORY BOMBARDMENT HEAVEN!!!
It was a super fun night for all of us!
The next morning, September 29, was Brooklyn's
TRUE 7th BIRTHDAY
She got her BIRTHDAY BREAKFAST which was yummy, yummy, yummy!
McKenna helped me decorate this room and then Brooklyn's doorway upstairs when she was asleep.
Then she got to open her BIRTHDAY GIFTS which was a very exciting time for her!
We had her BIRTHDAY ICE CREAM PIE before the big kids left for the BYU University of WA football game. Yum again!
And, yes, we are JUMPING FOR JOY after popping a confetti filled balloon after the big kids left!
And, where Evan is sitting here, 10 inches from the TV was pretty typical. I tried maybe 100 times to get him and Mackenzie to scoot back further away, but it was like a magnet!!

MEANWHILE...the big kids were in Seattle for the big game!
Lots of BYU fans were there together to be disappointed in the game that BYU lost so sadly.
Back home, it was putting kiddos to bed one at a time. After Mackenzie was down, it was paining time with Evan. He decided he wanted to paint a wood car model I had brought with me and he did a great job!
Sunday before Church, we drove over to Issaquah to visit Lisa and Neal Oman at their incredible home in the country outside of Seattle.
We had the best time visiting and talking about family history trips we would like to take!
After sitting for weeks at a time with nothing happening, our house has taken off.
Here is some of the progress this month...
Framing inside and out.

Currently we have packs of shingles up waiting to be attached, plumbing is in, heating going in, lots of concrete going in, windows and doors on the way.
OK, so this means lots of decisions.
Paint colors, flooring, cabinets etc.
Getting the house ready to sell and show...planning ahead for the new house.
I decided I wanted to darken up my bedroom set from this...

Got new bedside tables that match (our old ones did not) and that look great with the new stain color.
This was an interesting texture piece made with a bunch of different papers glued together.
We had a happy, busy family month!
We love our family and who they are and who they are becoming, and are so grateful for all the blessings that we enjoy!
