We had a fun outing to visit Bree in their classroom in SLC!
Scott met up with Aaron and Mitch for a morning birding outing. We sure enjoy sharing our hobby with them.
We did a walk together on the river trail one day.
We tried to tell her that it had wings so it had to be a bird.
Here she is pointing at the chicken and telling us this several times.
We also got a private time to see all around inside and out of the newly remodeled temple.
And we of course had to have dinner at Chino Bandidos that night!
We met up with cousin Corby and his wife Missy after the Sunday dedication session we were both attending.
I realized I did not share any photos last month for our THANKSGIVING dinner that was just so wonderful! Everybody contributed to make it an amazing meal! We just love being with family any occasion that we get.
We also have not been sharing the BYU sports we have attended. We went to one of the Women's Soccer Final 4 games this fall. It was freezing outside, but we survived and they won!
And, we have season tickets for Men's Basketball and really enjoy going to the Marriott Center for all the home games, usually with Braden and McKenna or friends.
A minute later, the chicken flies down from the tree and she decides that A CHICKEN IS A BIRD.
HA!
In keeping with our Sunday Hot Cocoa Tradition we had GINGERBREAD HOT COCOA complete with little gingerbread men.
And the trip to Utah would not be complete for these kids without a trip to In N Out for hamburgers and shakes!
We planned an outing to LUMINARIA at Thanksgiving Point for our immediate local family and Lori. It was just so beautiful and a great time together!! By the end, Cassidy was fast asleep though.
The next weekend, Scott and I got to go to Arizona so he could cover the Mesa Temple Re-dedication.
I got to spend one day with Ed and Dana up at their amazing Prescott Valley Ranch.
I got to meet their cute new donkeys.
They spoil them with amazing treats that the donkeys are crazy for!
I love that the Janulis got this amazing place that makes them so happy and is the perfect place for them to retire someday and still always be busy!
Of course Scott and I had to get out to some parks to see what birds we could find.
At one amazing park in Gilbert we found a bird that was rare to the area, more likely to be found in Florida, a Roseate Spoonbill! We saw it better than the ones we saw last summer in Florida.
It was just beautiful inside and out! And the session was really wonderful with great talks.
We deliver little gifts to many of our neighbors in Utah.
When we stopped at our friend Maxine Jensen's home, she gave us this quilt she had been saving for us. It is just stunning and looks great in Bree's room either under or over the current bedspread.
We did not get pics, but we had a wonderful BIRTHDAY DINNER with Thai food for Elliot this month. Played a fun new game called "Villainous."
Christmas Eve walk with Braden and McKenna over by the section of the river trail where they are putting a new bridge over the trail.
We did see an amazing Bald Eagle on one of these outings near the river. We love when they come each winter.
Christmas Day, we don our Santa hats and go out on a walk. And since we did not really have anything else to do, we went out for quite a while. It was a beautiful day!
I made us some snowman face pancakes for breakfast too!
And then after a visit up to my Dad's house for a light meal and visit (which we did not get any photos of) we came home for the evening with Bree and Elliot, Braden and McKenna.
We had this amazing charcuterie spread that we enjoyed all night long while we played some Wingspan. (Thanks Trader Joes and Bree for some fun cheeses and crackers, meats and such!) Mmmm!
And later this month, I found a tutorial teaching how to crochet these cute nests and made me a set to hold all our Wingspan game implements.
We enjoyed playing one time with Jen and Jon and the boys before the end of the year as well. They approved of the cute little nests.
