For Christmas, Austin and Laura gave us tickets to the Jenny Oaks Baker concert up in SLC...it was AMAZING! She is an amazing violinist and musician in general and her kids play with her. She had choirs from the valley that sang with them and she had ballet from BYU and Irish dancers from a school in the valley too...SO GOOD!
Grandpa got his cast taken off early this month and surprisingly it had healed up in one month so we did not need to worry about him taking out any more stuffing from the insides of the now-loose cast!
We had our monthly dinner group and enjoyed seeing Sydney meet Kaia...they were both pretty interested in each other. The funny thing was how funny Sydney thought it was when Grandpa Scott or Kaia would crunch on tortilla chips. Best sound ever!
We spent a day helping Vicky and Andy with their wedding and reception up in Sandy. They had a really cute reception and LeAnn had the food really nice for the guests and a little family dinner room. We provided many of the basic decorations and it turned out really pretty...I did not get photos of the decor, but her photographer did.
We loved seeing SYDNEY meet SYDNEY
It was really special. Grandpa James loves little children so he was very interested in her.
We had a really fun family party with Dad at his activity room. Mike brought a fun game we played and we just ate wonderful food and visited and had Dad open his presents from us.
This is our little Christmas grandbaby! Classic hand-in-mouth pose!
And this is our classic SANTA HAT WALK on Christmas morning. We walked up at North Shore of Utah Lake and saw 4 BARN OWLS in one area. Beautiful!
Christmas afternoon we had the kids over for our traditional charcuterie and with the kids contributions it was a huge spread of good things!
Bree and Elliot with Kaia
Matchy PJ Braden, McKenna and Sydney
Very happy Grandma with Sydney and her new name banner and quilt that I made for her birth and finally got done.
The day after Christmas, Scott and I flew to Phoenix direct form Provo...super easy! He took me to Mesa Temple grounds for the Christmas lights and it was just like old times...such a beautiful place!
We have so many good memories of this temple and this time of the year!
Here is Sydney in her room with her new decor!
We met our sweet missionary couple friends for dinner at Zupas and spent a couple hours just talking and getting caught up after another year and enjoying being together!
Scott and I at one of the many places that we birded together this week. Cassidy kept calling us while we were different places so we sent her this!
This was the Salt River...such a pretty place to bird. We hoped to see wild horses here but no luck there.
However, we did see a SKUNK (dead) and FINALLY SAW JAVALINA!!
Another Cassidy shot. You can see it was down to short sleeves partway through the days there!
We spent New Years Eve having dinner at CHINO BANDIDOS, our favorite haunt in the area!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025!
