AUGUST 2022

Started off AUGUST with a service project cleaning up the Provo River with our YSA group.

This is an annual project that gets a lot of good done for the community.  Scott got right into the thick of things in the water this year.

Our BIRD OF THE MONTH was the Blue Grosbeak.  This bird has previously been pretty elusive for us and we would get super excited to ever see one.

This year however, we have seen them almost every place we have gone to bird including just on our daily walks along the parkway near our home.

We also have a pair of Swainson's Hawks around the area that are pretty photogenic!  Staredown!

And for an ANNIVERSARY tradition ( not exactly on our anniversary because it rained again as usual) we walked the Provo River Trail in the canyon and saw this beautiful Osprey.

August brought the end of our summer AQUA ZUMBA classes in the outdoor pool.  This is a Tuesday and Thursday 8 AM class that we just love.  This is me and my friend Rut from Venezuela.

August also brought the start of a new school year with 20 total students...YIKES!

Luckily one of them is our own LUCAS and he is so excited to be in school! We baked brownies this day.

And, we played with scented play dough!
The last few days of the month we traveled to ORLANDO, FLORIDA for some family time.

We met Austin's family in the Orlando airport.  Clara was happy to help with the bags!

Jenna's family flew in to Tampa and spent the day at the beach there before driving down to meet us at Amanda and Jimmy's condo there in Kissimmee.

The cousins were just so excited to be together!

Made our day to see them playing all evening long.

We rented the condo directly above Amanda's and that worked out perfectly for all our group to be together so close.

We spent JENNA's BIRTHDAY August 31, at Disney's MAGIC KINGDOM.

We somehow all got up early and made it there in plenty of time to explore before the park opened at 9.

Our goal was to have the best GRANDKID TIME EVER!!

So many fun traditional rides at Magic Kingdom!

And so many great people to share them with!

I did quite a bit of Grandma time with little ones while bigger ones went on more exciting rides.  But I had a wonderful time!

This blue stroller was my buddy carrier and I always had someone to push around!

Here are my 3 best buddies for this trip!  We spent a lot of time together!

Cannot miss DUMBO ride!!

And Grandpa was having a blast teasing his grandkids!!

LUNCH BREAK was a good time!

Oh, and they had some birds there that we did not see anywhere else this trip like White Ibis.  Ha!

RAIN was our friend a couple of times this day.  Once during the day which shut down many rides for about an hour...and then at the end of the day it just POURED and if not for our rain ponchos that Jenna brought, we would have been soaked!

Finally got too ride with some grandSONS at the Haunted Mansion!

Jungle Cruise!

Winnie the Pooh Ride.

Austin and Clara, excited to ride!

Little Princesses with Jenna!

And some WAITING IN LINE, which actually was not bad at all this whole fun day!  Everybody was so chill about everything and we just had a blast!

More to come in SEPTEMBER blog!
