TAYLOR FAMILY ACTIVITIES

WHAT A MONTH!  It was the culmination of months of preparation for Braden and Breanna and their weddings, and tons of FAMILY TIME!!

We got to be with McKenna at the Provo City Center temple for her Endowment Session...beautiful!

Her family threw a wonderful shower for her with the cutest decorations!

Mmm the treats were just as tasty as they looked!

And the bride just as beautiful as always!

Bridal/Groomal photos were earlier in the month so they did not have to do so many on their wedding day!

JUNE 22 was their big day and it was perfect in so many ways!
Being together was the biggest thing!

The LUNCHEON was a labor of love that we all helped out with!  And it came together so nicely!

It meant a lot to us to have our family with us all day!

This was one of the initial activities that Klay and Bennett came up with when they arrived at our house!  It was mud city in the sandbox and they played there for HOURS!  Jenna and I got a lot done in the yard while they played!

After Braden's wedding, we took a day trip up to Hill AFB to the free museum up there.  It was AWESOME!  We went up with one jet lover (Evan) and came home with three!!

Of course it helped out that Grandpa spoiled them all with a new toy jet to bring home!  It was a super fun outing and for me, time that I needed to spend with the kiddos after so much time spent on weddings prep!

That afternoon we did a joint cousin activity with Brooklyn and Carter and Bennett and Klay and Jenny brought Nathan and Daniel and Amanda brought Lucie and Lane and Wyatt.

We went to the Springville Spray Ground and had a blast there for a couple hours!

We all watched each other's kiddos since it was a pretty big place to have them spread out!

We had to find a bit of shade!!

Daniel and Nathan getting more wet.

Klay and Jenna

We loved having the kids stay with us for those two weeks!  The kitchen was a hub of activity and feeding much of the time.

Mackenzie...

...and Klay!

We had a Salt Lake day with Washington cousins and that was really fun!  We did the Temple Square grounds and visitors centers and then the Church History Museum which had lots of interactive activities the kids loved.

I had seen a kids Zumba class outdoors in the mornings at the Rec Center and signed Carter, Bennett and Brooklyn up.  Carter was hesitant, but in reality, he is a good dancer!  There were tons of boys in the older class and he rocked it!

Look at Klay in the background of this video...he could not stop dancing either!
And the second one is Bennett and Brooklyn.  They would not let us take front photos for privacy in that class, but it was "Parent Day" in the older class so we lucked out!

The girls in the family loved being involved with Breanna's Bridal Photos up Big Cottonwood Canyon!  Her dress and flowers were perfect for her beautiful self!

We found a little place off the side of the road with a forest...

Perfect for some cute flower girl "Auntie/Niece" photos...

Can you say MODELS!!!

And then drove down to a slate mountain and hiked Bre up in her wedding gown for these stunning shots!

The day before Bre and Elliot's wedding was clean-up day at their area.

And we had the most amazing helpers!
Braden and Carter sweeping up.

Friend Megan and Bennett also sweeping up.

We cleaned all afternoon and then had a wonderful BBQ dinner and then REHEARSAL!

We got the biggest kick out of Brooklyn practicing tossing flower petals by actually tossing things out of somebodies bag!

And yup, Bre and Elliot even practiced KISSING!!

On our way home we saw a young MOOSE in the meadow and stopped to watch it a while.

The next morning was a busy prep time to set up for the real deal!  But all came together thanks to AMAZING FAMILY AND FRIENDS who just had the midas touch on everything to make it beautiful and on time!

Then it was time for Carter to hand off the ring...

For Bennett to carry the sign...

For Brooklyn to toss real petals...

And for Breanna and Elliot to become
MAN AND WIFE!!!

WOO HOO!!

It was so lovely!

We welcomed guests to her adorable lodge.

Signed the guest logs!

Gave out seed favors.

And took photos of dear people!

Jimmy and Amanda Parks and their cute kiddos.

Elliot and Bre cutting the cake.

Braden and McKenna and Aaron and Michelle family.

Bre with Carole.

Cute little cousins playing together at the kids area.

FAMILY PICS from rehearsal day!  OK...I couldn't see which were really good for this post so go to the links for the best ones!

THIS IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT!

FAMILY!!!!!

I just LOVE This one!

We had a day with Bennett and Brooklyn and Mackenzie...at BYU and the Bean Museum and at the spray ground.

Brooklyn and I had a date to play and to go shopping too!
Can you see what she chose to play part of the time?
Wedding was sort of a theme around here!

We had a day up at Museum of Natural Curiosity too!  Amanda was able to meet us there with the kids and we had a great time!

Brooklyn and I played a fun chair stacking game and she got creative!
I need to add in the hot air balloons we all went to...
but on July 4 we went with Jenna's family to the 5K race for Jenna and to the parade.

Pre-parade was keeping the kids entertained for 2 hours so we went to the announcer booth the block down and the kids did dance contests!
See video below!

Jennifer's traditional BIRTHDAY BBQ was moved up to early in the day so we could go to a movie in the afternoon.

It was so hot outside we were glad to be done early!

But it was all good and we had a good time and great food!

And we were entertained by the MASSAGE TRAIN!
WOO HOO!!  I should have got in line!

Austin's family left to go home on the 3rd after a breakfast at Gpa James house.

So, we had a few days with Jenna's kids.
We took them to the DINOSAUR MUSEUM which was a great time, and then to the Curiosity Museum too!

I was in baking mode for Breanna's Open House in Provo so Bennett helped me making some chocolate chip cookies!  He was good at all parts of this including eating the dough!

Videos below include dancing at the parade and then Bennett being the TV announcer about DINOSAURS from the Curiosity Museum!

MAY 2017

If you want to save any of these photos easier, or see more of them, click on this line to see and save them yourself!

In looking at our May photos, most of them are mission related either from our Arizona missionaries or our MTC missionaries.  (There are a lot more through the link)
We did things with family, but do  not often get photos of these times.
Early May I was able to go up to Draper temple to the sealing of Kaitlyn Tolley, one of our sweet RMs.  I met one of her friends who drove up from Flagstaff where she served in the YSA ward.

Provo Temple has beautiful pink rose bushes that come on in May.  We wanted a photo of all the Sisters in our branch.  All the young ones are going to Italy, and us older ones are Presidency wives.
We are only missing a new couple, the Johnsons, who were added to our branch making 3 counselors.

I held two pre-kindergarten graduations this month, one for my AM class and one for my PM class.
I miss these kiddos.  It was a really good year at school!

AM class.

PM class.

Henry with his treats afterwards.  I taught him two years in a row!!  I will really really miss him!

Lori hosted a LOVELY bridal shower for Breanna at her home in Riverton.  There were great support from friends and family and it was just a fun afternoon together!

Bre with work friends and Elliots Mom and sister.

I missed getting Jennifer in my photo...sorry!

Lori, Ella, Michelle, Carole,  LeAnn and Carolyn.

McKenna and I.

The bundt cakes that Michelle made were to die for!!

Chicken salad sandwiches and veggies and drinks...yum!

The details were so sweet.  This area was made into a photo area highlighting Breanna and Elliot with KISSES to share!

And the favor was tiny jars of Nutella

The beautiful bride to be with Aunt Lori the hostess with the mostess.

And some other Taylor ladies.
May was WEDDING INVITATION CENTRAL!  We first focused on getting Braden and McKenna's all done and out, and then turned our attention to Breanna's.
The funny thing is that here are Braden and McKenna working one night on Bre and Elliot's pile of invites!

IT WAS A PARTY!
We just LOVED that Austin was our designer and have gotten SO MANY compliments on his great, personal designs!!

I got to take Braden up to his Bridal/Groomal photos up at Draper temple one Tuesday night.  This is me with McKenna's Mom, Tracie.
We had so much fun being there with them!  And they are just beautiful together!!

We are excited for Breanna's bridals on June 24!!

Speaking of beautiful...we got to celebrate the beautiful life of my Mom on Memorial Day weekend.
We love the tradition of cleaning up her grave, having a memorial and bringing flowers to decorate it.  This year we all brought fresh garden flowers...very fitting as she is the one that taught us to love gardening and to know the flowers.

I believe here Nathan is reading the names as Grandpa James shows the boys his children's names.

And a group shot by a fellow patron.
We then celebrated with a pizza lunch at Pizza Pie Cafe.  Yum!

These photos almost look fake they are so beautiful...but Scott is a good photographer and was blessed to get to go to Tucson for the Open House for the new temple there.  It is a first with the dome style top, but fits in well with other buildings in that area.

He flew in through Phoenix and got to see our temple there as well...just as beautiful as ever, and with more flowers than I remember.

He got to visit with the Griffins, our replacements in Phoenix who are now finishing up themselves!  Seems hard to believe that three years are almost here!

I will finish May with a few Mother's Day photos.  Here is our cute Laura with her kiddos!

Here is a throw-back to when Jenna was a little girl.  She found this in her scrapbook.

And then she re-created something similar for her older boys to do for me.  Very fun!

I love being a Mom.  Scott loves being a Dad.  It is seriously being part of a miracle to be able to have a family and be a part of their growth and becoming.  To encourage and develop the characteristics that form successful and happy children.

I love being a Grandma.  Scott loves being a Grandpa.  It is the next best thing to being a Mom and Dad.  We live for the relationships in our lives and are so thankful for each one of you and how you are a sweet part of our lives!

We are blessed to have had the parents that we both had as well.  They are truly great people who lived and live what they believe and who have made a great difference for good in the world!  THANKS!!

SEATTLE VISIT

OK!  I finally got my phone photos saved on the computer so I could post about our trip to Seattle area to visit Austin and Laura and kiddos!

We arranged our trip back from France to stop in Seattle so we could see them a few days and it was so awesome to get over our jet lag with them!!

(Laura, feel free to send me any other photos I may need to add to this!)

Saturday I got to go to Dance Class with Brooklyn and see her in action.  Watch the portion of her recital number at the end of this post!  ADORABLE!  She is so graceful!

Wish I was closer to get to see the kids in lots of their activities!!

We brought bags for the kids to color, a cat and a lion respectively for Brooklyn and Evan!
And we got Mackenzie's footprint for our Christmas Tree!!

We made crepes for breakfast Sunday morning.  YUMMY with Nutella and strawberries and whip cream!!

Monday we went to the 9 month check-up for sweet Mackenzie!  She is perfect in every way.  Although she really did not like her height being measured or the toe prick!  OUCH!

Evan was SO EXCITED to take us to his favorite place...the MUSEUM OF FLIGHT in Seattle!  It will be a tradition until he is tired of it!

This museum is GREAT!  Play area above with helicopter, small jet and pretend airport to play in.  Control tower area where you actually listen to a real control tower and can watch jets take off, WWI and WWII jets in a huge exhibit, and an outside area with tons of real planes that you can walk through and look at outside.

Inside the museum they also have these cockpits the kids can sit in.
This one is maybe a F-16 or something?  Austin and Evan can correct me!

And this one is maybe a Blackbird?
Not sure, but we had to keep a close eye on Evan as he was prone to run quickly to the next exciting thing in his favorite place!!

We were so happy to visit Austin, Laura, Brooklyn, Evan and Mackenzie!  They are a wonderful family and we love them so much!

Here is the cute recital practice!
