OCTOBER 2019

October started with me taking my students to a PUMPKIN PATCH!  I have really cute students this year who have all ended up adjusting very well!

I will put some photos from my kids here for you to see...Austin took this one night when Laura and Brooklyn were at an activity together.   CUTE MACKENZIE!!

HANDSOME EVAN!!!

I hosted a get-together for friends that knew our RM Molesi Vaoga who came up for General Conference weekend from Phoenix.

Had some good friends stop by!
And got to hold a baby!

Here we are with Fiavahe, Molesi and Ed who were our guests all weekend.

Scott and I got to have a dinner up high in the Joseph Smith building in SLC one night as they introduced a new LIGHT THE WORLD campaign with a very nice video about the birth of Christ.  Watch for that...

But the view up so high was very nice of the SLC Temple too!

When Scott took off for GERMANY...I took off for SEATTLE!
My first morning run was so lovely, not too wet and the prettiest leaves that were already falling...I told the kids that in Provo our leaves were sticking to the trees still...they started falling while I was in Seattle.

Story time with Clara...you are never too young to read!!

And Halloween books with all of the kiddos!

We went to MUDDY BOOTS PUMPKIN PATCH and had so much fun!!

We slipped around the corn maze like CRAZY and it was super fun!

We only found 4 of the 10 Scarecrow Displays, but they were super cute!

Speaking of SUPER CUTE...this is Brooklyn's picture for her Baptism Announcement.  Beautiful!!

Daddy Austin got to perform the ordinance...

The whole family was there to support her...

Mommy got to be a witness for her and help her change into her pretty dress and do her hair afterwards!

And, Grandpa and Grandma Self worked it out to stop in Seattle on their way home from a London trip to give Brooklyn her scriptures from the grandparents!
Funny that Scott was flying to London that very day!

Speaking of Scott...he had been in Germany covering the Frankfurt Temple Re-dedication there...this is the view from his hotel window, very European looking!

And  very pretty shot of the temple there he took at night.

I loved being there with the kids and getting to take them to the bus stop.  It was a but rainy different days, but not too bad.  This raincoat was awesome...it would get color on the dinosaurs if it got wet...so cool!  I took this to show the DINOSAUR THEME here...boots, backpack, jacket, and yes, shirt underneath!  All he needs are dino pants!

Mackenzie and I had lots of time to play while the big kids were at school...so many projects.

Today was SLIME TIME!  She mixed glitter sprinkles and beads into her slime here.

Brooklyn had a very cool project to do with me as well.
This stepping stone kit had some really great pattern ideas and she chose the snail...it used broken glass to design it and she did such a lovely job.  I thought it was beautiful!

We had the best meals and such this week!  Laura is such a good cook and Austin did the wonderful pizza thing he does so well, and then he made us WAFFLE CONES for FHE treat!  Oh my, they were so good!!

OK, when I got back from my trip to an EMPTY HOUSE, I have to admit, it gets a little scary at times.
I did laugh when I realized that the SHADOW from my chair in my room looks very much like a DRAGON with 4 legs and paws up over its head!  SO FUNNY!

Meanwhile...Scott is in London hobnobbing with the likes of Donny Osmond.  His old college day look-alike. Ha!  So cool!
Scott got to cover ROOTSTECH there in London, the first international event they have put on.  This family history event is annual in SLC.

Sunday night we got together at Dad's house for our annual pumpkin carving activity!  Yummy soup and sandwiches and such and great ideas for carving pumpkins!
Me, I just harvest the seeds and roast them for whoever wants them!

This is what I do, usually 3 times a week.  AQUAZUMBA with most of these ladies.
(and occasionally a gent)
Very fun and good workout in the water!
It was Halloween dress-ups so thanks to Breanna I had a great headband to wear.

This is Scott when he was reunited with his luggage that went AWOL for a couple days in Germany!  Tough to live out of a suitcase for 2 weeks but tougher WITHOUT ONE!

And here he is in London!

I am guessing on these... pretty sure it is Westminster Abbey.

I know this is.

Buckingham Palace.

The "Underground"

More Westminster I think.

Scott by the infamous red phone booth.

Hyde Park Church and Visitor Center in London.

Excel Convention Center in London...HUGE!

Some grandkids Halloween costumes.
Brooklyn is HERMIONE from Harry Potter...

...and without planning it, Klay is Harry Potter, Carter is Draco Malfoy and Bennett is Ron Weasley all from Harry Potter...they must go to school together, these 4!

Jenna's entire family is in on the Harry Potter theme!

And Clara is just Auntie Breanna's little BOO!

Me...well I went to the neighborhood Halloween Party ALONE so...

...I was the LONE RANGER (park ranger)  get it??

HAPPY OCTOBER AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYBODY!

SEPTEMBER 2019

September was a fun and busy month for us...but what's new?

We got to go out to New Jersey to visit Jenna, Ty and kids for a week.

We went to the beach a couple times while we were there.  The waves were huge this day, but the boys loved it anyways!

And Cassidy did not want to miss out on anything either!

She really took off with the walking while we were there and went from about 5-7 steps to walking independently much more!

I told Jenna I needed a new beach picture for my beachy bathroom and we got this treasure of a photo!  Now I jus need my west coast kiddos at a beach!

The main reason we chose to visit in September, was Bennett's choice to be baptized.
Here he is with the scriptures and bag that we got along with the Jensen grandparents!  He was so excited!

Here is the family the evening of the baptism.  They had tons of people from the ward and about 4 friend families attend.  We hosted a lovely party afterwards!

We got Cassidy a little stroller for her birthday to help her with walking and she was so excited!!!  It was hard to keep her from running with it!

On one of our walk days, we were at a park where they still had the spray ground open so we took the kids in and had some fun!

Last day of our visit, at the bus stop with the boys...and thumbs up for Klay going to school that day too!

First day of Preschool for Klay was this day!  What a cute student!  Wish he was mine!

The day after we got back, my friend messaged that she had extra produce I could come get...yes, they have a produce farm.

Over the next several days I made a bunch of salsa with it and it felt so good!!

Then Dad and a preschool Mom gave me some peaches so I did a batch of peaches and one of jam.  That felt good too!

Had to include a picture of me with one of my former students, Matthew Frey.  He was leaving on a mission and wanted to say goodbye.  Such a great kid and I love his family!

Here are some photos of cute baby Clara Rose!

This is on the quilt I made for her...rose theme of course!

And this is her SMILE which comes very frequently now!
She is 3 months old now!

Some cute photos of Austin and Laura's kids:
Mackenzie, baby Clara, Brooklyn and Evan.

And some SISTER SNUGGLES!!

We celebrated Breanna's Birthday early by going to LOS HERMANOS...where we love the nachos and other lovely Mexican food, and where they really make a fuss over birthdays!

It was a lot of fun being there with Amanda and Braden, Breanna and Elliot.

A video of them singing to her!

HAPPY OCTOBER!  Hope you all have a wonderful month!
