What could be better than the men in the family making breakfast?
While I was on my Monday run, Austin was making a store run to get the rest of the fixings for breakfast panini sandwiches...YUM
...and Scott was picking oranges and using the juicer to make us fresh squeezed OJ!!
This meal kept us satisfied the whole day until it was time for CHINO BANDIDOS!
We tried yet another new museum this trip.
A friend in the ward had recommended the MIM or Musical Instruments Museum not too far away from our place.
We were interested in seeing how it was and after going, decided it exceeded our expectations.
We would go back...maybe with Breanna for FHE one of these days!!
We all had a set of headphones to be able to listen to the interactive displays.
And then there were the literal "HANDS-ON" sections where it was encouraged to play the instruments!
Brooklyn tries out a ukelele!
Laura tries out a harp.
And Brooklyn tries out some bongo drums!
One of our favorite sections of the museum were rooms with instruments, costumes etc. from famous musicians from many decades. As you got close to each display, you would see video of them performing and hear it in the headphones. It was very well done! We could have spent even longer than we did there.
They also had huge rooms with walls for many countries of the world....most of them I believe. It was impressive. As you would get near each display, your automatic earphones would kick in with the recording of what you were seeing on the TV screen in each area. You would be able to see people playing the instruments you were hearing and see the actual instruments on the walls of the displays.
There were rooms and rooms for all the countries of the world.
As I mentioned, we stopped at CHINO BANDIDOS on the way home for our FHE dinner! Here Brooklyn is looking at the huge Panda statue in the restaurant.
It is a favorite dinner destination of this family!
