PHOENIX CHILDREN'S MUSEUM

We just discovered that Phoenix has a good Children's museum.  Our good friends gave us the heads-up and we were so glad!

Right when you go in, there is a HUGE suspended climbing thingy...I can't really describe it in words.  But it was lots of tunnels and steps and bathtubs and cages to climb into.  Once inside, Brooklyn did not want to get out.  She was content just to be inside.
This was one of the suspended artsy fish and jellyfish displays.
Down below, there was a cool vacuum tube area where you could stuff in nylon scarves and they would get sucked through all the tubes and come flying out at the top.

It was a blast to watch!
The kids would watch and grab the scarves as they would fly out and stuff them in again.

Up on other levels, there were some great hands-on areas.

In one hall was this big xylophone that Brooklyn and Grandpa found and played on.
They had a great big grocery store that was a blast to play in, and then we went to the kitchen area where Brooklyn loved to play with cooking up some fabric scraps!
One of her favorite places was the ICE CREAM STORE.  There were foam cones and balls and scoops.  She was madly in love with PINK!

The foam noodle jungle was one Grandma had to help her through...a little scary for a little one.
Another adorable place was the flower store/garden area.  She loved taking the flower bouquets and moving them around.
Here we are heading back down...you can see the climber in the background.

Great place for kids ages 2-10 especially!
But pretty fun for us older kids too!
